The call for economic models that are more equitable, sustainable, and responsive to 21st-century complexities is growing louder, challenging the fundamental assumption that nature (eco-logy) and the eco-nomy are separate.

If the economy is a nested system within nature - operating within ecological realms and boundaries - then rethinking our economic model requires understanding what genuine co-creation with nature and the more-than-human actually looks like. What challenges and opportunities arise when put into practice? How far have we come in our ability to apply this?

For this, we can take clues from the rapidly growing field of approaches and methods to engage with, represent, and involve the more-than-human. Recent years have seen a surge in interest in this topic, bringing with it a growing community of practitioners eager to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. The increasing application of different approaches offers a rich pool of inspiration and insight to draw from.

To this end, The Repatterning Collective and Kincentric Leadership are jointly hosting a series of online Learning Sessions, as well as Field Dialogues, as part of the Co-creation with the More-than-Human sandbox. Through semi-structured dialogue and discussion, the sandbox provides a space for experiential learning: shining a light on different approaches, exploring their development, application, workings, possibilities and limitations, as well as future directions and the conditions that would enable meaningful co-creation with the more-than-human world.
